STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove won’t ignite, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, that means another part will need to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven without heat doesn’t do much good. An oven doesn’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner doesn’t fire up when an element breaks or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can repair these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we know how to fix control panels for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we install for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians are able to diagnose the reason for the issue and then repair it. Be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter will glow but won’t light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door doesn’t open up and then complete the necessary repair so we can put an end to the problem.
